As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will supervise the Sales Tax compliance for all companies within the consolidated group.

From strategy to fulfillment to managed services, our engineering-centric solutions enable our clients to realize what it means for technology to do more.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the preparation of all domestic sales tax returns
  • Research various different sales tax  matters for US Domestic issues
  • Prepare sales tax registrations as needed
  • Supervise sales tax audits
  • Review and maintain current and accurate sales tax exemption certificates from customers
  • Determine the taxability of certain SKUs sold by ePlus
  • Complete special tax projects as needed
  • Provide assistance with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
  • Develop good working relationships with business units and accounting peers to effectively and efficiently complete tax projects and to identify sales tax issues
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of sales tax laws and regulations
  • Maintain a current awareness and understanding of and to fully comply with the company's code of ethics, independence rules and quality control practices
Requirements

Job Knowledge/Skills:

  • Working knowledge of basic office technology (Excel, Word).
  • Familiarity with computerized tax applications
  • Ability to negotiate with sales tax authorities
  • Strong process engineering, analytical, computer and organizational skills
  • Good human relations and communications skills including the ability to document processes, positions and other documentation, as required
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrate initiative, be hard-working, be a self-starter

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Tax
  • 8+ years applicable work experience in tax related areas
