As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for the accounting and analysis of compensation for ePlus, including but not limited to commissions and bonus payments.

From strategy to fulfillment to managed services, our engineering-centric solutions enable our clients to realize what it means for technology to do more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries
  • Reconcile and analyze multiple, complex general ledger accounts
  • Update documented internal controls and accounting processes
  • Write, revise and implement processes with effective and efficient internal controls
  • Perform fluctuation, variance, and trend analysis
  • Serve as the project team member for the implementation of an incentive-based compensation software and related applications/processes
  • Assist with the monthly/quarterly financial close package
  • Assist with both internal and external audit requests
  • Assist with a variety of special projects
  • Perform other duties as requested in order to meet department goals and objectives

Job Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting
  • Highly motivated and self-starting with the ability to work alone on various analytical problems to form conclusions
  • Able to think critically, prioritize competing responsibilities, and meet tight timelines with minimal supervision
  • Able to organize and produce detailed and accurate work
  • Able to work as a team-player in a fast-paced work environment
  • Highly-effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel
  • Adaptable to different computer environments

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 4-6 years of experience of general ledger accounting
  • Previous experience with public accounting firm or corporate experience preferred
