As an ePlus Architect, you will be responsible for leading, planning, designing, and implementing Cisco LAN, WAN, wireless and security engagements. The successful candidate will have extensive experience designing and implementing Cisco network infrastructres including routers, switches, WLAN controllers and firewalls.

Job Responsibilities:

An Architect is responsible for Sales Engineering support, presentations, BOM creation assistance and SOW assistance along with planning and designing solutions for multi-vendor Data Center Solutions.

  • Provide assessments, design deployment and implementation services of multi -vendor solutions in a Data Center environment
  • Engage various manufacturer engineering resources for lab access and design assistance
  • Assess customer environments and make recommendations
  • Serve as a pre-sales resource for sales and engineering
  • Act as an escalation point for ePlus Engineers and Consultants
    • Escalate issues to other team members, as needed
  • Meet with key vendors to stay current on products and technologies
  • Maintain multiple advanced manufacturer specific advanced certifications. i.e.: CCIE, R/S. Voice, Brocade, CISSP, VCDX, UCS
  • Complete additional relevant certifications, as recommended or assigned by supervisor
  • Work with Lead Technical Architect and National Engineering Leads to develop standardized assessment, delivery and testing documentation to be used for delivery of repeatable services
Requirements

Job Knowledge/Skills:

  • 5 years practical experience implementing Cisco wired and wireless network infrastructures
  • In-depth hands-on experience with Cisco ISR Routers, Nexus Data Center switches and Catalyst Campus switches.
  • Experience with network security design and implementation including NG firewall/DMZ configuration, operations and security monitoring
  • Proficiency in the following technologies: TCP/IP, Routing Protocols (OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, BGP), QoS, Multicast, MPLS
  • Exceptional written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills

Education and Experience:

  • BS in Computer Science or related technical degree required, or equivalent experience
  • Cisco CCNP Route/Switch or equivalent experience
  • Cisco CCNP – Wireless (preferred)
  • Cisco CCNP - Security (preferred)
  • Cisco CCIE (preferred)
