As a Senior Engineer, you will serve as a key contributor to the ePlus sales process by performing advanced troubleshooting and installation work on various computer and networking hardware, software and video conferencing, digital signage, audio-visual integration and other visual communication equipment.

From strategy to fulfillment to managed services, our engineering centric solutions enable our clients to realize what it means for technology to do more.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Advanced hardware configuration of servers, SANS, routers and switches and Operating Systems, Video conferencing codecs, video conferencing infrastructure, audio-video switchers and microphone mixers
  • Serve as an escalation point for Engineers and Technicians
  • Possess advanced troubleshooting skills, ability to perform remediation repairs and ability to direct activities of engineers and technicians on a project
  • Escalate issues to other team members and subject matter experts, as needed
  • Provide deployment and implementation services of multi -vendor solutions in a Data Center and corporate office environment
  • Be available to meet the customers IT, VTC and A/V needs
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support for service calls including but not limited to: videoconferencing, digital signage, audio-visual integrations and other visual communication equipment
  • Be working towards achieving multiple manufacturer specific advanced certifications. i.e.: CCDP,CCSP, VCP, HP MASE HP, NASP, CCNA, CCDA, TCE1, TCE2, TSA
  • Serve each and every customer to ePlus’ standards

** All engineers are required to provide on-call technical support, both remotely and on-site, outside of normal business hours, including weekends and holidays, on a rotating basis.

Requirements

Job Knowledge/Skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills on phone and in person
  • Professional demeanor and good communication skills
  • Ability to think and come up with solutions quickly
  • Must be fully knowledgeable and able to diagnose, install and repair one or more of the following technologies:
  • Virtualization
  • Storage Area Networks (SAN)
  • Video Conferencing End Points
  • Video Conferencing Infrastructure
  • Audio-Visual Cabling/Terminations
  • Audio-Video Switchers
  • Microphone Mixers
  • Wall-Mounted Televisions
  • Ceiling-Mounted Projectors
  • Projection Screens
  • Networking
  • Collaboration (Messaging)
  • Blade Server Technology
  • Security

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of hands on experience in IT, VTC and A/V
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Industry recognized Certifications. i.e.: CCNA, MCSE, Security, CCNA, CCDA, TCE1, TCE2, TSA
