As a Senior Audio Visual Technician, you will be responsible for the technical installation and management of audio visual systems including fabrication, site preparation, pulling of cable, termination, physical installation, configuration, trouble shooting and commissioning of complex video conferencing and control systems.

This job involves the use of power tools, lifting of equipment, and the use of ladders.

Job Knowledge/Skills:

  • Perform technical installation tasks for the successful completion of audio visual projects
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and signal flow diagrams
  • Use power tools, hand tools, solder, crimp, and terminate various connectors associated with audio visual systems
  • Perform rack fabrication and wiring
  • Field installation of structure and equipment.  Not limited to projectors and screens
  • Load and test code for DSP and control systems (AMX/Crestron/Extron)
  • Make minor programming changes for control systems
  • Serve as a working site supervisor of the installation team for larger projects
  • Test integrated systems and troubleshoot as required
  • Provide commissioning and end user training of systems
  • Create redlines for finalized system documentation
  • Works well in a team environment and is willing to mentor/lead others
  • Ability to travel and work at various client sites as required
  • Other duties as required

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Formal education in electronics or related field preferred
  • Position requires approximately 50% travel
  • InfoComm CTS, CTS-I (CTS-I preferred)
  • Other certifications associated with AMX, Crestron, Extron, Biamp are a plus
  • 3+ year of installation experience, at least one as a lead technician
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
