As an ePlus Architect, you will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing and operating enterprise infrastructure for clients. You will have the opportunity to work with our master architects, engineers, and consultants, to understand our clients’ needs and craft sustainable IT roadmaps to get them there.

From strategy to fulfillment to managed services, our engineering-centric solutions enable our clients to realize what it means for technology to do more.

Job Responsibilities:

An Architect is responsible for Sales Engineering support, along with planning and designing solutions for multi-vendor Network Security Solutions.

  • Provide assessments, design deployment and implementation services of multi-vendor network security solutions (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Cisco Security, Fortinet) in an enterprise environment
  • Engage various manufacturer engineering resources for lab access and design assistance
  • Assess customer environments and make recommendations
  • Act as an escalation point for ePlus Engineers and Consultants
    • Escalate issues to other team members, as needed
  • Meet with key vendors to stay current on products and technologies
  • Maintain multiple advanced manufacturer specific advanced certifications. i.e.: CCIE Security, PCNSE, CISSP, etc
  • Complete additional relevant certifications, as recommended or assigned by supervisor
  • Work with Lead Technical Architect and National Engineering Leads to develop standardized assessment, delivery and testing documentation to be used for delivery of repeatable services


Job Knowledge/Skills:

  • Must be fully knowledgeable and able to design and plan, implement, and support network security solutions in the following vendor technologies:
    • Palo Alto Networks (NGFW/NGIPS, Panorama, Endpoint, and Advanced Services)
    • Cisco Security (NGFW/NGIPS: ASA/FTD, FMC, AMP, or ISE)
    • Fortinet Security, preferred but not required
    • Checkpoint Security, a plus
    • Splunk, a plus
    • Cloud Security/CASB understanding
  • Excellent customer service skills over the phone and in person
  • Professional demeanor
  • Ability to problem solve and come up with solutions under pressure
  • Ability to work within a project framework and deliver on deadlines
  • Must be willing to collaborate with team members on projects to meet client expectations

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT
  • 4-year College degree, preferred
  • Security-related certifications. e.g., PCNSE, CCIE, or CISSP preferred
