Job Purpose:

As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for leading an effort to drive incremental revenue and margin growth in the SLED vertical across existing geographic territories as well as identifying and potentially managing SLED teams hired for new geographies.  You will develop territory plans with existing regional management, and sales-focus alignment with vendors with whom we hold or seek contract vehicles. You will develop individual market plans to outline ePlus' sales progression towards growth for each target geography you serve.  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and plan with existing Regional Vice Presidents
  • Effectively manage and motivate assigned Account Executives
  • Develop pipeline and drive revenue through demand generation
  • Lead more effective field engagement with key manufacturer partners
  • Lead and assist with acquisition of customer facing and vendor facing SLED contracts
  • Call and close “C” level business in conjunction with engaged sales personnel
  • Achieve assigned financial goals
  • Lead strategic account and opportunity pursuit planning
  • Recruit and train sales employees for target geographies
  • Significant business travel may be required


Job Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills, communication skills and work ethic
  • Knowledge of SLED vertical, including vendor go-to-market strategies and customer business requirements
  • Knowledge of solution sales environment and financing
  • Knowledge of relevant IT products, services, and solutions
  • Must demonstrate ability to qualify, penetrate and expand wallet share within existing accounts
  • High level of presentation skills is required
  • Team oriented sales approach is a must.  Must be able to effectively operate in a matrix managed model
  • Ability to evaluate and balance team and individual workload through effective time management, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Possess ability to work independently

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum of 8+ years management experience
  • Minimum of 10+ years successful technology sales experience with at least 8 years consistent quota achievement
