As a National Pre-Sales Support Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and validating customer configurations and Bills of Material for an assigned focus area. You will work closely with Inside Sales Representatives and field Sales Engineers to ensure customer requirements accuracy and leverage current promotions to ensure competitive pricing and margin.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist National Assessments Manager with creating and developing security assessment solutions.
  • Perform new security assessment solutions for various regions within ePlus.
  • Provide technical expertise/credibility to regional account teams on ePlus Security Assessment solutions and Product offerings ('Focus Areas')
  • Assist sales and services management in identifying candidate solution areas for ePlus development/investment.Complete training per development plan and maintain certifications in accordance with Focus Area.
  • Assist National Pre-Sales Manager with helping improve procedures and functions. 
  • Assist regional account teams with collecting customer business and technical requirements and determining ePlus recommended solution(s). 
  • Build and review Statement of Work (SOWs) ensuring quality and accuracy
  • Aligning assessment opportunities with the correct delivery partners and ensuring scopes meet client needs while remaining cost effective for ePlus.Function as technical liaison and ePlus ambassador with field OEM and Distribution partner technical teams.
  • Assist sales management with mentoring of junior sales account managers as it relates to overall opportunity management and technical solution set.
  • As appropriate, assist ePlus sales team in dealing with customer satisfaction issues surrounding technical aspects of a recommended solution. 
  • Ensure appropriate coverage for in-process opportunities while out of office for training, vacation, PTO, etc.
  • Review relevant human resources policies and procedures as well as conduct and expense guidelines and ensure compliance.
  • Complete administrative tasks (expenses, time reporting) in timely fashion.
Requirements

Job Knowledge/Skills:

  • Network/Datacenter Security and Security Solutions (3-5 Years) - Pen Testing, Risk and Compliance, and vulnerability management experience are critical
  • Working knowledge of surrounding/related technologies for security which can include: Cisco, Palo Alto networks, Checkpoint, McAfee, Imperva, Fireeye
  • Pre-sales support experience
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills required
  • Attention to detail

Education and Experience:

  • CCNA or equivalent required
  • Hands-on experience delivering and scoping security assessments
  • Two or more years experience in providing presales or post sales support for information security assessment such as Vulnerability Assessments, Penetration Testing, Social or Wireless Assessments, Web Application Assessments.
  • Project Management experience is a plus
