As the Manager, Partner Development, you will manage key vendor and partner programs, relationships and overall growth for a named list of focused vendors and partners.  You will aid the National Partner Team with vendor and partner alliances, advancing and growing viable long-term relationships across designated vendors and partners.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage process, program guidelines, support claiming and increase funding for Marketing Development Funds (MDF), Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) and incremental vendor funds
  • Increase funding for funded-head positions and technical enablement programs such as certifications, training and ongoing competencies
  • Review proposed MDF and MoU plans; manage cost-allocation planning
  • Manage and track milestone performance activity across multiple departments
  • Track performance of all Marketing Development Funds and Strategic Investment Funds; breakout by activity type
  • Fully understand key vendor rebate programs and determine steps to increase rebate opportunities
    • Disseminate information to management and relevant teams
  • Support rebate estimation, tracking and claiming processes in coordination with Sales Operations and Vendor Purchasing groups
  • Review incentives to ensure alignment with key rebate/profit programs; drive increased funds from each vendor or partner
  • Escalate issues relating to day-to-day operations such as internal process improvement and policies governing relevant programs (e.g.- Sales Incentives, MDF claiming, etc)
  • Ensure that ePlus maximizes program usage and funds received from each vendor
  • Train and mentor relevant new employees
  • Function as the liaison between executive management, field sales, marketing and sales operations teams
  • Proactively lead and supervise to effectively deliver the following:
    • Proactive, long range MDF planning and execution for security partnerships
    • Regional and departmental MDF requirements and budgets
    • Development of business plans, reporting, priority setting and relationship building
    • Coordination and management of partner-sponsored events
  • Assist Management and relevant teams in gathering data for OEM scorecard reporting; help manage format(s) and data presentation
Requirements

Job Knowledge/Skills:

  • Previous experience with Market Development Funds plans and processes
  • Excellent attention-to-detail
  • Must demonstrate ability to qualify, penetrate, and close new accounts
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving and time management skills
  • Possess ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant business development or vendor funding experience
  • 10+ years of experience in channel or partner program management preferred
