As the CIO, you will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for the organization’s information systems function to support the ongoing expansion and mission success for ePlus.  You will partner and collaborate with other senior staff and department heads to define the IT vision for the organization and define and execute the overall IT strategy to support organizational goals and objectives, providing leadership to the IT department and other department heads in order to support the company’s culture, mission and values. This is the highest IT leadership role for the enterprise.

Job Responsibilities:

Technology Trends – Identify and understand emerging and evolving technology/platform

Strategic Planning – The CIO has complete ownership of the establishment and execution of the enterprise wide IT strategy and roadmap, and ensures its alignment with the enterprise's business strategy and the delivery of capabilities required to achieve business success.

Budgeting – Create operating and capital budgets to balance strategic plans, risk mitigation, and operational support requirements. 

Information Security – Ensure integrity of organization-wide data, proprietary information, and related intellectual property through information security and access management.

Governance, Risk Management and Compliance – Establish policies, procedures and controls to ensure the effective and efficient use of IT resources and assets to achieve the company’s goals. Work with Executive Management and independent counsel to comply with applicable government regulations.

Organization and Staff Management –Develop and maintain an IT workforce with the appropriate mix of business knowledge, technical skills and competencies that balance the needs between growing the agility required to achieve business objectives and ensuring the core IT functions are reliable, stable and efficient.

    Job Knowledge/Skills:

  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate an IT vision that inspires and motivates IT staff and aligns to the business strategy
  • Ability to instill confidence in the business and demonstrate the business value of IT
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies and how other enterprises are employing them to drive digital business and how they may be applied to the enterprise to drive digital business
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic people plan that ensures that the right people are in the right roles at the right time and that employees are highly engaged and satisfied
  • Ability to drive organizational change and build capabilities that effectively balance the needs between continuously exploiting capabilities to optimize operational efficiency and delivering innovative and agile IT solutions
  • IT Governance Frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, SOC 1/SSAE 18, ATA 101 SOC 2, PCI-DSS
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cyber security concepts, principles, methods, and products
  • Governmental regulations regarding SPAM, privacy, record retention, export compliance, and security
  • Business principles and techniques of administration, organization, and management
  • Business process analysis and design, project management, systems design and development
Requirements

    Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience with increasing responsibilities for the management and support of enterprise-wide information systems and information technology
  • 5 to 7 years of leadership experience
